Eco-Council

The Eco Council look after our school environment and help to lead events and activities to help lower our school's carbon footprint. We meet at least once a half term to share ideas and address any issues. We are supported by Mrs Merry and Mrs Feay.

We are a Silver Eco School and are very proud of this fact. We recycle a wide range of materials from plastic to ink cartridges to paper.

Compared with similar schools we have a low fuel consumption but we are always looking for ways to improve it further. We have been involved in a number of projects to support our environmental learning including visits from Warrington Environmental Officer Phil Chadwick, Walk Once a Week schemes and work with gardener Craig Morris on our allotments.

The Eco Council also help with the school grounds making use of the nature trail and our allotments. Our next project is to make a minibeast hotel to encourage biodiversity.
